Privacy: website statistics

To improve this website, we count page requests, App Store redirects and download requests on our own hosting. Statistics contain only totals by time period, page, content language, app or file, and referring domain supplied by the browser.

We do not set statistics cookies or use visitor identifiers or device profiles. IP addresses, full referrers, form entries and individual browsing histories are not stored in the statistics. Counting takes place on the server. The hosting provider processes connection data necessary to serve requests.

The legal basis for the necessary processing is our legitimate interest in improving our own offering (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Hourly totals are retained for up to 13 months and daily totals for up to 36 months. They are then deleted during the next regular cleanup.

You may object to processing on grounds relating to your particular situation. For privacy requests and your rights of access, rectification, erasure and restriction of processing, contact the email address above. You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information. As the statistics contain no visitor identifier, we cannot attribute individual contributions to a person.

Your explicitly selected language may be stored for 180 days as a functional preference containing only “de” or “en”. This preference displays your chosen language and is not used to recognise you for analytics.
